Dear Blog,

Who named it a blog anyway? Its a weird word right? Anyway- I type this as I watch my recorded episode of project runway finale- this season was a bit of a bore if I say so myself…. I had a nice dinner after work planned last minute with my mom, sister, and my moms two sisters, my aunts- I just want to say these women are awesome, I love them and I am so blessed to have great examples in my life.  The conversation was all over the place- half of it wouldnt be appropriate for this blog and never boring! I just thought Id blab about whats going on- Im feeling a bit overwhelmed…. I missed an appt today that I already rescheduled, we have been busy at the shop which is good but it gets a bit hairy sometimes, I missed a meet up I wanted to go to after work but figured dinner with the girls would be better.  I need to get the invites for my moms party out tomorrow and choose the menu items-I also want to make a guestbook for the party for the guests to sign, but it has to be cute, scrapbook style with room for the pictures too, that will take time…I have also been asked to take team photos for 8 mini b-baller teams next week and have yet to download the software for prints… I want to figure out my bday plans and send out an evite soon….I also lucked out and snagged a spot for l.a. photog shootout next friday in temecula- Id like to have a new lens for that, to borrow, buy, or steal hmmmmmm???  Trying to diet and exercise too…Also planning a bit of a girls night this weekend…just for fun… Alot on my mind but its all good!  All good stuff- no complaints here, I will make a list and check these things off one by one.

p.s. I think Emilio should have won project runway…just saying…

Today I was supposed to take engagement pictures, but the lovely couple cancelled at the last minute….wah wah wah….. Whatta are you gonna do? So instead of posting their pictures…. I’ll post some pics that I took last week at the South Coast Botanical Gardens in Palos Verdes.  This place is beautiful, but my favorite is still the Huntington Library, my second favorite would be a tie between the L.A. Arboretum and Descanso Gardens… and this place would be last on the list.  Either way I love Arboretums, there is a tranquility and peace when you are there, surrounded by nature and quiet…. I like my own little garden at home so to visit these beautiful gardens is soo nice.

I have been meaning to blog, I have pictures to post but I just haven’t gotten to it…… I am determined to post regularly though and I will!  So tomorrow I am pretty excited to photograph some grown ups! Engagement style!  Wish me luck, even with my minimal equipment I feel pretty confident that it will go good.  That’s the beauty of shooting for free,  the pressure is not as high.  I am really hoping to provide some nice photos and gain more experience. 

Lately I have been preoccupied trying to find the right venue for a party we are planning for my Mom who is turning the big 5- 0!!! You’d never know it though shes a hot mom….Mother of 5- she has never had a big party so we thought it was time we celebrate her….I will be sure to post all about that later, but yesturday I finally booked a place and now I am not so worried about it- Its exactly 3 weeks away- I needed a place!! So excited, I love planning parties, ordered invites today, choosing the menu details Tuesday,  noting all my decoration ideas, gotta find a cute dress! FUN!
