I have been so busy loving my baby boy that I have yet to write about what life is now like with him here.  It really is amazing, I love him so much!  I try to journal in a special book about all of the daily things and all of his “firsts” not to mention the baby book.  It’s hard to blog it too! Life has definitely changed, I am a different person- I am a “mother” and that is kinda weird to say- but it’s true, and I think it is the most important job I will ever have.  Everyday he grows a little bit more, does things a little bit different, and tries something new, it’s all new and it is happening so fast.  I try to be in each moment and really soak it all up.  I am so blessed to be able to stay home with him, I may not be able to buy and shop like I used to but it is soo worth it- I wouldn’t trade this time I have with him for anything.  This time I have to spend each day, just me and my boy, it’s priceless and I cherish it.  I can’t imagine leaving this up to someone else to do for me- I applaud woman who do, who have to, some chose to, but for me I know I would be a wreck, so I really am thankful for this time.

He was probably 2 or 3 weeks here, I swear the day he was born he was holding his head up like this! This kid is super strong! He used to kick and punch me like crazy and now I see why- he was squished up in there, he has the longest arms and legs!

Jacob turned 5 months on Aug. 22nd.  Technically he is 23 weeks tomorrow- almost 24 which you might think equals 6 months but no- we count months now- I still count the weeks to myself though  The past couple of weeks have been so fun with him, he has started to be playful and silly, he grabs for everything, is pretty good at holding his bottle, reaches for us which is the cutest!  I am starting to see more little personality traits and it is so crazy just thinking how at this time just last year I was only a few weeks pregnant, we were still keeping it to ourselves!  Now here we are with a beautiful bouncy baby boy!  He is the center of any family get together, he is the first grandson for my parents and Jasons parents, and the first baby in a long time so he always draws a crowd and just gets passed around, everyone wants to hold him.

Here he is my big boy- 5 mo. picture… A-DOR-A-BLE!  I tell my friends who don’t really want kids and don’t really get it that I highly recommend it, once they are ready it is a must!  It is such a wonderful feeling, it’s something you just have to experience for yourself, nothing compares to it.

Baby showers are so fun, I personally enjoy watching mommy open her gifts and seeing all the cute tiny little outfits, I like to play and win the games, even though at this one I didn’t win any …. I was asked to photograph a baby shower for miss Alexandra, she is about to have her first baby!  Her mother and aunt hosted a beautiful baby shower for her including tons of lovely details, delicious food, signature drinks, and fun games.  The flowers were amazing, some of my favorites used were dahlias and peonies, so pretty…Inside these cute boxes were delicious homemade cookies!

Here is Alex, she has the cutest little baby bump, from the back you would never know she is almost due!

These were the cute cake pops, pink and blue because it’s going to be a surprise!  I think she is going to have a baby boy…

These were baby brownie pops, sooooo yummy, a chocolate lovers dream!

The food was delicious and pretty, the hostess, Tina is an amazing cook, she caterers lots of fabulous events…This is a cupcake made in honor of the family doggie who was not actually at the shower, I forgot doggies name but as you can tell she/he is probably the baby of the house, but not for long!

Alex is going to make a great mommy, she is due anyday now… I am sending her good vibes that she has a smooth delivery and a healthy baby boy or girl!  What a miracle!  My baby boy has brought so much joy and happiness to my life, I am so grateful for him.  Alex is about to be blessed with an angel she is going to love more than she ever imagined possible.

Brooklyn is an adorable baby who I had the pleasure of photographing when she was only a few months old, at that time I had just found out I was pregnant and I think maybe that was the distraction that kept me from blogging that shoot.  So first let me share the photos I took almost a year ago when Brooklyn was an infant at her home in Corona.

Brooklyn has grown so fast into a beautiful mobile baby girl.  It makes me think just how fast my boy will be walking.  Her dad compared her walk to that of a zombie because she walked stiffly with her ams straight out to keep her balance.  Her mom made sure to accessorize her with lots of bling and Brooklyn didn’t seem to mind!  We did this shoot at the Fullerton arboretum.  

Chantel is one of the cutest little ladies I know.  She has recently turned 6 years old and in celebration she had a Hello Kitty themed birthday party.  So of course we had to take photos of her in her Hello Kitty tutu outfit.  Oh to be 6 again… what a great age!  Her parents went all out to give her a special 6th birthday that she will always remember.  And what better way to help us remember than to take photos of her in her favorite birthday outfit!
